Management
of GEPCO is being assisted by the Addl: D.G. (Legal & Labour) in
all legal matters and labour management relations. He is responsible
for following: -
- To render advices in cases decided against GEPCO referred by the field formations and GEPCO Administration.
- Engagement of GEPCO counsels to defend and institution cases before courts.
- Attend courts in important cases.
- Briefing/assistance of GEPCO counsels for preparation of comments/replies in important cases.
- Arrange Works Council Meetings, issue its minutes and ensure implementation of decisions of Works Council.
- Efforts to resolve labour issues through dialogue / negotiations with CBA Union for peace and tranquility.
- Scrutiny of pension cases for countersignature by competent authority of GEPCO.
- Monitor and expedite the payments of lawful dues in fatal accident cases.
- All welfare related issues are also being dealt.
- Secretary
of Scrutiny Committee for determination of correct date of birth
in case of tempering/overwriting/erasing etc.
- Performing duties of Secretary Legal Committee BOD GEPCO during FY-2013-14.
